Our first print exchange
Our founders Heather Piazza and Kathe Welch had the idea to do a print exchange. Each artist would create 25 prints and send them to us for collating and return. This was not a new idea. Kathe had done several, most of them with the Baren Forum and several with her middle school art students. We were ready for something bigger.
We reached out to as many printmakers as we could find through email and even approached printmakers at local shows in the San Francisco Bay Area to make our first exchange successful. We found – or were found by – 22 artists to work on our first big project and the results were so beautiful, we decided to continue…
